Renting a car in Morocco: what you need to know
Age, licence, deposit, insurance, payment: here is, plainly, what Bond Drive asks for to rent a car in Casablanca. You see the price before you send your request, and nothing is paid online at that stage.
Documents to present
- You must be at least 25 years old.
- A valid driving licence held for more than 3 years.
- A valid ID: national ID card or passport.
The deposit
A security deposit, by card or bank transfer, is requested when you pick up the vehicle. It is released in full on return if no damage is found. The amount is shown on each vehicle page.
Insurance
Basic insurance is included with every rental. You can add extra protection when you book, depending on the level of cover you want.
Payment
Accepted payment methods are bank card, bank transfer, cash (under conditions) and secure online payment. Your booking request itself asks for no payment: the estimated total is shown before you send it.
Before you leave: good habits
- Do the condition report with photos at key hand-over.
- Return the car with the agreed fuel level to avoid any extra charge.
